One of our goals for the Superhuman Body educational campaign is to reach as many young people as possible to inspire them to consider a career in a healthcare field, from medical researchers to technicians and care providers. Museums and youth groups that have shown the film have created all kinds of complementary programs including career days, healthcare festivals, meet the scientist events, field trips to medical facilities, and programs just for girls. The 40-minute film also inspires people to want to learn more about topics presented in the film such as robotics and prosthetics, cancer research, heart health and also their own community resources. Classroom teachers and youth groups have used activities from the Educator Guide and Family Activity Guide (also free for your use) to round out their programs with youth, spanning grades 3-12.
If you’d like to host a program for your community in conjunction with viewing the film at your library, please complete the following and submit to us no later than September 4, 2026 for a program you’re planning for the fall/winter. Grant funding will range from $200 to $500 and can be used for marketing, supplies, healthy snacks, transportation or other direct costs. Grant recipients will be notified no later than October 1, 2026.
